Kol Shofar’s Chai Lights Committee invites you to join us for an evening in conversation with Dr. Jessica Zitter. We’re hosting a private showing of the 2016 American short film Extremis, which exposes the central tension in end-of life care decisions between physicians, patients, and loved ones.

Dr. Zitter is the main subject of Extremis and author of the best selling book Extreme Measures, Finding a Better Path to the End of Life. Her book offers a framework for a better way to exit life that will change our medical culture at the deepest level. It’s filled with rich patient stories that make a compelling medical narrative. Extreme Measures enlarges the national conversation as it thoughtfully and compassionately examines an experience that defines being human. We invite you to join that conversation and explore for yourself questions about mortality, end of life decisions, and difficultconversations with loved ones.
