A fourth year rabbinical student at the Ziegler School of Rabbinic Studies, Sam Rotenberg has served as a long standing member of the Ikar davening team in Los Angeles, Craig Taubman’s Friday Night Live, and Nava Tehila in Jerusalem. He is a musician; a pianist, percussionist, and guitarist, and has recently returned from a year of study in Jerusalem where he was also certified as a shochet. In 2012 Sam co-produced a real-time documentary of American Jewish Music called “Rock Shabbat” and, inspired by that project, decided to go into the rabbinate. Sam is from West Palm Beach, Florida and is married to Kayla Lebell who is also a fourth year rabbinical student at Ziegler. They have a two year old son named Meir.
