Kol Shofar is now the proud owner of the full 73 volume set of the Schottenstein Talmud, currently housed on our Beit Midrash/Library bookshelves. This incredible collection was a gift to the synagogue by the entire Talmud Study group, along with a generous anonymous donor. Please come by and take a look at these magnificent volumes. For those of you who are unfamiliar with the Schottenstein Talmud, it is, as far as we know, the most thoroughly annotated English translation of the Babylonian Talmud available in print. These volumes make the study of our Oral Torah accessible to anyone who wants to read how the sages interpreted and developed the Jewish ideas, mitzvot and practices that define and serve as the basis for our understanding of Judaism today. Everyone is welcome, regardless of previous experience with Talmud. We study as a group, and our discussions are as broad and deep as the Talmud itself.
