Shabbat at a Glance
KABBALAT SHABBAT – FRIDAY EVENING SERVICES
After a long week of work or personal activities, we look forward to welcoming the sweet sounds and atmosphere of Shabbat together. Our Friday night services appeal to many different interest groups, and create and enhance a strong community of lasting friendships. All services are free and open to the entire community.
1st Friday: Offsite at Drake Terrace – Kabbalat Shabbat 6:15 PM
We continue to cherish our long-time connection to the seniors at Drake Terrace Senior Living facility, at 275 Los Ranchitos Road, San Rafael. Meet us at Drake Terrace and do a mitzvah by helping to make a minyan while enjoying a sweet lay-led service.
2nd Friday: Shabbat Shebang! 6:15 PM
Join us for these lively Shabbat gatherings when every month a different group hosts and prepares dinner. Services are open to all ages, and led by our rabbis with participation from our hosts for the evening. Beit Am (Social Hall) & Beit Knesset (Sanctuary)

3rd Friday: Family Kabbalat Shabbat Service and Dinner

Join Rabbis Leider & Levy with gifted musicians who will help us celebrate Shabbat with the entire family. Come just for the service or RSVP and pay in advance to stay for a catered dinner. Cost: $11 adult; $5 child. RSVP by Tuesday prior to service to mlklassen@kolshofar.org.
4th Friday: Spirited Traditional Friday Night Service 6:15
These fourth Friday services are short and sweet, with lots of singing, and a simple Kiddush afterward. All ages welcome! Beit Midrash (Library)
5th Friday: Member-hosted potluck dinner and services

SHABBAT MORNING SERVICES
Every Saturday, 9:15 AM
Beit Knesset/Sanctuary
Join us for traditional Shabbat Services! Experience the light as it filters through our Beit Knesset dome. Open the doors to your soul with services that engage. Rejoice as children join the congregation becoming B’nei Mitzvah. Join in discussion with the rabbi as part of the weekly Torah discussion. Enjoy a wonderful catered kiddush together. We welcome all. A transliterated prayerbook, Eit Ratzon, is always available.
1st Saturdays: Kol Shabbat Childrens’ Services
2nd Saturdays: Join us for Kol Neshama Minyan, our meditative and melodious alternative service. Click to learn more.
EARLY CHILDHOOD SHABBAT OFFERINGS

TUESDAY (7:15 AM) & THURSDAY (7:00 AM) MORNING MINYANIM
Beit Midrash/Library
Help make morning Minyan – we need you! Do your “Jewry Duty” and join us so that there is a minyan for those saying kaddish. Tuesday Morning minyan is followed by a Talmud class at 8:00 AM, and Thursday morning minyan is followed by breakfast. Please join us!
