This vibrant program of the Osher Marin Jewish Community Center (JCC) is founded on the tradition of excellence in Jewish early childhood education and enriched by the spiritual environment of Congregation Kol Shofar. The curriculum is built on the image of the child as a competent and capable individual with the potential to construct his or her knowledge about the world, and is inspired by the well-known Reggio Emilia educational practice. Jewish culture is organically integrated into all experiences through the exploration of values, traditions, and customs. Children experience learning through music, language, literature expressive arts, cooking, dance, and play. The JCC Preschool Tiburon creates opportunities for parents and teachers to learn about child development, parenting, and Jewish life as part of a diverse and connected community.
