Incorporating text and discussion on biblical and rabbinic writings, history and culture, the meanings and metaphors of Jewish holiday celebrations, concepts of God and ethics, life cycle, Israel and basic Hebrew phonetics, this course enhances your connection to contemporary Jewish life and enables you to feel at home in synagogue and life cycle services. Rabbi Leider infuses her joy of learning through her teaching.
Cost: Full 18 sessions: $36 Kol Shofar, JCC and Rodef Sholom members// $54 for community members. Drop-in on a class-by-class basis $5 materials fee per class.
